Care Notes: Keeping Your Pieces Camera-Ready

A well-made dress deserves a little care. Here's how to keep yours looking camera-ready for years, not just one night.

Before you wear it

Let the dress hang for a few hours before your event — fabric relaxes into its cut and creases from storage or shipping fall out naturally.

After you wear it

Air it out before returning it to your wardrobe. Avoid hanging directly in sunlight, which can fade rich colours over time.

Storage

Use padded hangers where possible, especially for anything with structure through the shoulder or bodice. Avoid plastic garment bags for long-term storage — fabric needs to breathe.

Cleaning

Always check the care label on your specific piece. When in doubt, a professional dry clean is the safer choice for delicate fabrics and finishes.
